1. Each submission must have its own unique site - a Tumblr blog, a Dreamwidth user, a specific GoFundMe or Ko-fi. One person may not use their site to fundraise for another person unless the second person has their own site telling potential donors why they are fundraising, and offers a unique way to donate.
2. Any submitter may submit as many posts as they wish, as long as each submission has their own unique site, user, or blog URL. This means that you are welcome to submit for other users on Tumblr, Dreamwidth, the Fediverse, Pillowfort, Reddit, and other sites, but you must use their user or post URLs as the awareness URL.
3. Repeat submissions are welcome! Just use the submission form each week that you want your information sent out with the weekly RFM. (One person who posted for a few months would simply post "Please use my submission from last week, thanks!".)If you submitted to RFM the week before, your submission will go into Recurring needs.
4. Any individual user's fundraisers may appear in RFM up to eight times in any rolling 12-week period. After this time period, that fundraiser blog/user/site may not appear on RFM for up to four months. This keeps one person from squatting on RFM and adding regular posting traffic that can obscure other, newer fundraisers. This can also help with donor fatigue. When the ban period starts, the EFM administrators will tell the individual(s) when they can resume submissions to RFM. (How to get around this? Submit your fundraiser posts for seven weeks, wait six weeks, submit your fundraiser posts for another seven weeks, wait another six weeks, et cetera. However, if you can't survive without posting weekly fundraisers, you probably have bigger problems than can be fixed by fundraising online.)
5. As of January 1, 2026, Radio Free Monday is not posting links to Kickstarter, IndieGoGo, or other similar sites. These sites are purpose-built for passion projects or commercial products, they're not "help me survive by paying for my groceries or medical bills" like GoFundMe is. Additionally, many of these sites have robust cross-promoting and other community-building tools. RFM may, in the future, provide posting for passion projects or creative ventures; but we currently are not. Please promote these types of fundraisers within your own communities.
6. Radio Free Monday uses the modern concept of "fandom." A "fandom" is defined as "fans of a commercial fictional IP, either past or present, either currently in the public domain or currently or previously owned by a specific company or artist." That means that fans of Sherlock Holmes, Dracula, or Winnie the Pooh, in all their different incarnations, count as "fandom". Fans of distant-past works and artists like Shakespeare, The Epic of Gilgamesh, or The Tale of Genji, do not count as a "fandom". Likewise, enthusiasts or devotees of philosophical or spiritual texts or any books used as the basis of any religion or philosophy, such as the Bible, the Quran, or the Bhagavad Gita, do not count as a "fandom".
7. Radio Free Monday will not post any sociopolitical fundraisers. This includes raising funds for candidates, raising funds for churches, or raising funds for large-scale causes like disaster survivors. This rule is in place so that any individual, regardless of their politics, can post fundraisers to help themselves out and those fundraisers won't get obscured or overshadowed by any sociopolitical-fundraising traffic. (Also, most political fundraisers already have multiple avenues to reach their fellow party members or potential donors. They do not get to co-opt this particular community resource.)
